THE Board of Directors of international energy insurance plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Olasupo Sogelola as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the company, following the confirmation of his appointment by the industry regulator, the National Insurance Commission, NAICOM.
Olasupo Sogelola takes over from Ebun Ayeni who retired after two years of meritorious service at the International Energy Insurance Plc. has assumed responsibilities already from the 18th of January 2023.
Announcing the appointment, Chairman ALH. BUKAR GONI AJI OON, CFR Board of Directors of IEI plc stated that Supo sogelola brings close to two and half decades of versatile and trusted experience and has made a significant impact to the industry.
He further stated that Supo is coming on board to drive the continuous growth and profitability of the company and make the company a market leader in general insurance business in Nigeria.
Olsupo, obtained his first-degree B.Sc. (Hons) Zoology and master’s in business administration (MBA) from the Lagos State University, Lagos Nigeria, He had a certificate program in leadership from Florida Southern College, Lakeland, Florida USA.
He started his career as the Assistant General Manager (Operations) at the Globe Reinsurance plc. Lagos 1n 1995 he Rose through the ranks from Senior Executive Officer to Assistant General Manager (Operations); with an oversight responsibilities in technical underwriting and marketing achieving over 200% growth in revenue within 3 years since then he had worked in different insurance companies , prior to his appointment as the MD/CEO International Energy Insurance Plc he was Executive Director(Technical & Operations Tangerine General Insurance Ltd (Formerly Law Union & Rock plc).
An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN), an alumnus of Lagos Business School (Advanced Management Program).

In July 2022 Norrenberger Advisory Partners Limited, an industry-leading, integrated financial services group that provides a comprehensive range of financial solutions to individuals and institutions, took over the operations of the company after it obtained the approval of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM). Norrenberger bought 100% shares of the company hence making a new dawn in the history of insurance underwriting and International Energy Insurance Plc.
