Emmanuel Bassey

Emmanuel Bassey has achieved over twenty five years of excellent track record in management of finance functions in reputable insurance companies. He has been a Member of Executive Management providing advice on financial and management issues in the capacity as Chief Financial Officer, a position held for over ten years in various organisations. Areas of specialisation include, Financial Reporting, Management Reporting, Tax Management, Budgeting, Corporate Governance and Administration. He has acquired sufficient knowledge of financial systems as well as business applications spanning over twenty five years. Emmanuel is a Chartered Accountant with Twenty five years of experience which culminated in the award of the Fellowship of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA). He is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (ACTI). 

He acquired a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Financial Management from Lagos state University. His previous work experience includes Phoenix of Nigeria Assurance Plc (Now Royal Exchange General Insurance Limited) where he rose to the position of Deputy Manager, Accounts before he left in 1999, Towergate Assurance Plc (Now Sunu Assurance Nigeria Plc) as Financial Controller, Union Assurance Plc (Now Allianz Nigeria Insurance Limited) as Head of Finance. He is currently the Chief Financial Officer in International Energy Insurance Plc where he joined in April 2016. He has served in the Board of IEI Anchor Pensions Limited.
